It was a Sunday afternoon and I was sketching this painting and she came walking down 
the road wearing that over sized coat and sunglasses.
She just walked right on past me and didn't say a word.

PICKETTS DAM  (Sold)

This is whats left of Picketts Dam in the town of Finchville in Shelby County , Kentucky.
I have been told the farmers around here built this dam in the years of 1931 to 1935 to keep their
fields from flooding. At noon they would drive their teams of horse and mules to Riester's General
Store where a big kettle of burgoo was waiting for them.
